If you feel that a Direct Cremation service may not be what you or your loved one wished for but would like to attend in order to pay your last respects and say a few words, this can be arranged at Thornton Crematorium on Monday to Thursday at 8:15am. A 15 minute service, limited to a small number of family who may choose an unattended service but wish to witness the committal. There is no formal service, the 15 minutes provides time for quiet reflection.

Funeral Directors Fees:  - £750

Direct cremation removes the formality of a traditional funeral service. At the time of need, we arrange to bring the deceased into our care. The date and time of the funeral is arranged and carried out by us. We will try to arrange a funeral date that is convenient for you if requested. There is no ceremony but mourners are able to attend for a few moments if they wish to pay their last respects. The crematorium will provide some background music. The cremated remains can be made available to the family for collection or scattered at the crematorium. A simple and dignified wooden coffin is included. Your loved one will be taken to the crematorium in the hearse.
